25 Years of NC Service

I am an experienced leader in the government, nonprofit, philanthropic, and education sectors, including 25 years in North Carolina serving as senior fiscal advisor to the NC governor, president of a $1 billion foundation, founding director of a public policy research organization, and interim leader of a research university.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and English from the University of Notre Dame and a Masters of Public Administration from Syracuse University.

Through Dan Gerlach LLC, I now strive to provide strategic counsel on finance, public policy, and other issues.
